"Charlie Kirk - The Latest Casualty in the War for Truth"

America and the world lost one of its front line generals in the War for Truth on September 10, 2025 when Charlie Kirk was assassinated in front of an audience of about 3,000 people at an event he was speaking at on the campus of Utah Valley University. Ironically, Charlie was answering a students’ question about mass shootings when he was fatally shot in the neck by an assassin’s bullet.

Charlie was just 31 years old when he was martyred, yet his impact was profound. He was the founder of Turning Point USA (TPUSA), an organization that went to high school and university campuses and encouraged open debate with students. Over the past 20-plus years, American high schools and universities have gained a reputation for being institutions of liberal indoctrination. Charlie and his TPUSA team, including his wife Erika whom he met through TPUSA, boldly waded into the enemy’s territory and pushed back against the false narratives being taught there. Charlie made an impact amongst the young people he encountered at his live events. I ultimately believe Charlie was assassinated because he was too effective for the enemy’s liking. He had the boldness to invade one of the political left’s sacred cows, American educational institutions. The enemy made him pay the ultimate price for his convictions with an assassin’s bullet. Charlie encouraged open debate with those who disagreed with him. The enemy wanted to silence that debate. However, what the enemy meant for harm, God is turning around for good. Charlie’s death ignited a firestorm of outrage amongst the people. Liberals were crying when their own cancel culture tactics were turned against them when they celebrated Charlie’s death. Charlie's beloved wife Erika swore that his movement would not die with him.

God is using this incident to shake the church out of its complacency. For too long, Christians in America have been too passive and too comfortable. It is long past time for us to go onward and upward in Christ and boldly proclaim the truth of the gospel and the Word of God. The enemy has run rampant in this country for far too long. It is long past the time to take our country, and our world for that matter, back from the enemy’s grip. I encourage everyone to put on the full Armor of God go on the offensive in this War for Truth.
